SIMPLY PERFECT

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following template.  I am so ready for summer.  I live in Ohio.  So far, in one week, we've had 80 degree weather, tornadoes, floods, accumulating snow, back to 80 degree weather, and now they are calling for more snow.  I would give anything for some heat and humidity right now with a touch of salt in the air.  Therefore when I found this picture in a stack of pics that need sorted, I thought, "MUST SCRAP THE BEACH!"  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's  "Sandy Toes" collection and a Pion's "Legends of the Sea" collection.

BABY BOOK

This is my latest page for Use Your Stuff challenge.  This week's theme was "babies" or create a project featuring a baby theme.  While I have a gazillion pictures of my daughters as babies, I decided for this project I would feature a picture of my mother when she was a toddler.  I have always loved this picture of my Mom.  She looks so happy playing with her sister oblivious to the fact that she has a big pompon on her forehead.  Because this picture was taken in 1950's, I decided to go with a vintage vibe for this page by using a variety of papers from Authentique's "Stitches" collection.

OUR BABY

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  When I saw that the sketch called for nine pictures, I decided to do something I always wanted to do; a documentation featuring the growth of my daughters from infancy into their early elementary years.  I had a blast going through all my pictures finding one from each year of their life.  It feels like yesterday that they were my fuzzy haired babies; now they are my sassy, energetic, beautiful teenagers.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of vintage looking papers from Hobby Lobby's "The Paper Studio" collection, My Mind's Eye, and Authentique's "Stitches" collection.

BLOOM

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  With this week's reveal being on Easter, I decided to scrap pictures of my children and their cousins last Easter.  It was certainly a prettier day last year than it is predicted to be this year. Last year, the sun was shining, the kids were in shorts and t-shirts...This year they are calling for snow Easter night...But nevertheless, it's fun watching the kids running around searching for Easter eggs and rummaging through their Easter baskets.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Authentique's "Jubilee" collection and word stickers that I found in the dollar bin at the entrance of Target; one of my favorite places to find scrapbooking goodies.

MAGICAL BIRTHDAY

This is my latest creation for Sketchy Boards Challenge using the following sketch.  The inspiration was the color yellow, so I decided to dip into my picture archives when my sixteen year old was turning six and had a Disney Princess birthday party.  All the girls wore costumes (my daughter was Belle), and a real "princess" came and read them a story.  Now she's getting ready to go to the prom and look like a princess herself...Time is sprinting way too fast.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Echo Park's "Once Upon a Time" collection and stickers from Doodlebug's "Fairy Tale" line.
