STINKER

This is my latest project for Sketches in Thyme using the following sketch.  My daughter recently turned 13...I can't believe we hit this milestone birthday because it seems like literally yesterday she was this cheeseball making faces at me whenever I tried to take her picture.  She was (and still is) a stinker whenever I try to capture a shot of her!  So I thought that the Simple Stories "Emoji Love" line, specifically the poop emoji paper, would be the perfect element to highlight some of my favorite photos of my baby being a "stinker" to her Mom.

OH SO COLD

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge, "Twinkle Twinkle," asked us to use something sparkly on our projects.  I decided to feature pictures of my daughter at her first figure skating competition.  She truly looked like a little ice princess out on the rink in her white skating costume.  To accent these pictures, I used a variety of silver sparkle snowflakes from Michael's "Recollection" line along with Authentique's "Wintery" Collection. The title words came from Crate Paper's "Snow and Cocoa" collection.  To pull this project together, I was inspired by the following sketch from my former design team "2 Broke Girls."

13

This is my latest project
for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  My baby turned 13 the other day.  I have no clue how this happened.  All those clichés such as, "I blinked, and she grew up" have been flying out of my mouth.  So for this project, I decided to feature a picture of my daughter on her 13th birthday along with one of her on her first birthday.  While the pics are birthday themed, I used Photoplay's "Love Notes" paper throughout this project.  I think one of the beauty's of Valentine's Day paper is that you can use them for more than just Valentine's Day.  All the colors, designs, and accessories of this line reminded me of a little girl turning into a teenager; the perfect combo for a page about a girl turning 13!

AMAZING

This is my latest project for Use Your Stuff.  This week's challenge required us to make a project using weather as our inspiration.  Right now, it is winter in Ohio.  Need I say more.  As a result, I decided to use summer time weather as my theme.  I'm a bit of  a weather nerd, and I've always wanted to safely see a tornado.  Last summer, my dream came true.  My family and I were in Panama City Beach, Florida.  A storm started to blow in off the Gulf of Mexico, so we headed up to our room.  As I was on my balcony looking out at the storm, a water spout emerged from the sky.  I was in weather heaven!  So to help solve my wintertime blues, I used one of my tornado pictures as my project's focus.  To pull this project together, I used a sketch from my former design team 2 Broke Girls and a variety of papers from Kaisercraft's Coastal Escape collection.

EMOJIS

This is my latest project for Let's Scrap using the following sketch.  My daughter's 13th birthday is in a few days, and in honor of her officially entering her teenage years, I decided to scrap pictures of my daughter doing the ultimate teeny bopper activity; selfies using Snapchat filters.  Her and I were having fun being silly one day, and these were some of my favorite pics from our "photo session."  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Simple Stories "Emoji Love" line.

BRRR

This is my latest project for Sketchy Boards using the following sketch.  I made this project on a day I was off work because of the weather.  I'm a teacher, and due to temperatures too dangerous for kids to be outside and refreezing of the roads, we had a "cold" day today which meant NO SCHOOL!  The gift of time is the greatest perk of my job.  I will say that teachers probably like calamity days more than students.  So I decided scrapbooking was on my agenda for the day.  These pics were taken earlier in the month when the temperatures plummeted, and my dogs decided to burrow under a comforter.  They were too cute trying to stay warm, so I decided they would be the perfect subject matter for this project.  To pull this project together, I used a variety of papers from Crate Paper's "Snow & Cocoa" line.
